CIVIL DRAFTER

A fantastic opportunity for a junior to intermediate level Civil Drafter to join our Civil Design Team and become a valued member of our Civil Engineering Office based In Townsville. The role is an excellent opportunity to build a career with direct experience whilst undertaking or completing study in a supportive environment under the direct guidance of a Senior Mentor.  

 

In your role as Civil Drafter you will have responsibility for the following:

  • Property and development drainage assessment.

  • Civil engineering design of earthworks, roads regarding, etc.

  • Flood assessments, remediation and management plans.

  • Develop site water quality, quantity and drainage solutions.

ESSENTIAL REQUIRMENTS

  • Recently completed OR in the process of completing an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or similar relevant qualification.

  • Strong design skills and practical use of either 12D or Civil3D, and AutoCAD.

  • Strong written / verbal communication skills.

  • Positive and proactive attitude and motivated to progress and learn. 

  • Ability to work on multiple projects and deliver in a timely manner.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

  • Previous drafting experience with large drawing sets (using xref, layer state, annotation scale, paper space, publish, sheet set, etc.).

  • Familiar with the general process of land development and civil engineering design components (site analysis, earthworks, roads, drainage etc.).

  • Experience designing Residential / Industrial urban development projects Australia.

  • Exposure to Stormwater Drainage, Minor Earthworks, Road Design, etc.

  • Experience working for an Engineering Consultancy.
