PRINCIPAL CIVIL ENGINEER

Geoff is a RPEQ with over 35 years experience in the planning, design and construction of a diverse mix of civil infrastructure and structures. Geoff has only recently joined Langtree Consulting after a long career largely in local government. Throughout his career, Geoff has been involved in the planning, design and construction of major and minor roadworks, rural and urban stormwater drainage, sewerage upgrades of gravity systems, rising mains and pump stations, water supply reticulation, reservoirs and treatment infrastructure, waste transfer stations, bridges and community infrastructure.

In his most recent role, Geoff was the Manager Water at Cassowary Coast Regional Council where he oversaw extensive improvements to their water and sewerage systems. In this position, in addition to leading the planning and design of infrastructure works, Geoff was also heavily involved in the contract management of some major infrastructure projects acting as Superintendent on a number of major construction contracts involving major earthworks, retaining walls, pumping systems, chlorination systems, SCADA, treatment facilities and major concrete reservoirs.

As the Manager of a Water Authority, Geoff also has extensive experience with asset management processes, the preparation of regulatory compliance documents such as Drinking Water Quality Management Plans and all the varied infrastructure issues. Prior to working at Cassowary Coast Regional Council, Geoff managed the roads and civil design office of the Gold Coast City Council which was responsible for the planning and design of the city’s civil infrastructure works.
